About this site
This site lists published polls of Texas 2026 statewide races and reports, for each one, what its own documents disclose about how it was done. It does not rate who is ahead.
How it works
- Poll listings come from public poll aggregators (credits below).
- For each poll we fetch the pollster's own documents (topline, crosstabs, method notes) and keep an exact copy.
- Facts such as sample size, field dates and weighting are read from those documents, first by fixed text rules, then by an AI model (Claude Haiku). A model answer is used only if the quote it gives is found on the page it cites.
- The rules are applied to those facts, the same way for every pollster.
How accurate the facts are
Facts were measured 2026-10-23 on 450 labelled facts (labelled by an independent AI model, blind to our answers). Each rule's results are shown only when every fact it reads was extracted with precision of at least 0.80.
What the words mean
- Not disclosed: we read the pollster's own release and it does not state it.
- Not on the page we read: we found only a page about the poll, not the pollster's own release, and that page does not state it. This says nothing about what the pollster disclosed.
- Could not read: we hold a document but could not read its text.
- Not checked: we have not looked yet, or could not reach the document.
- Withheld: the rule ran, but its inputs are not measured well enough to publish.
